Cheap flights to Goleniow (SZZ)
When is the best time to fly to Szczecin?
Summers in Szczecin tend to be warm and temperate from 18 – 23 degrees Celsius, whilst the winters are cold and temperatures usually dip below freezing. The summer months of June through August are peak season for travellers booking flights to Szczecin and its seaside location makes it the ideal destination for a short or long school holiday break. Thus, airfares during the warmer months are likely to be more expensive than during the off peak seasons of late autumn or early spring, so keep an extra lookout for last minute package deals and a cheap flight to Szczecin throughout the summer. Christmas in Poland is taken very seriously, so why not join in the festivities by booking your holiday to coincide with Advent or the traditional Christmas Eve feast known as Wigilia.
An ancient seaport, Szczecin is a great place to enjoy a classic Baltic seaside holiday. Paddle, sunbathe, and enjoy some boating or other water sports here, especially if you book your flights to Szczecin during the summer. One of the main landmarks in Szczecin is the old Pomeranian Dukes Castle. This ancient edifice is home to a museum as well as to restaurants and shops, so it is a fantastic place for an afternoon visit. The Park Kasprowicza is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic, as is the (artificially made) Emerald Lake and its peaceful environs at the other side of Szczecin town, especially if you are on a romantic break with your partner. The city is also home to the oldest cinema in the whole world that is still in operation. Pionier Cinema is running since 1909, and is an unforgettable place to catch a film! Car fans will not want to miss out on visiting the city's Museum of Technology, either. This museum is home to a great collection of vintage cars, as well as other well-preserved vehicles such a buses and trams.
