Airport Overview

Akron-Canton Regional Airport is located in Green City in Summit County, just outside Akron, Ohio. The airport has only two runways, but is one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing airports. The cozy size of this airport and its close proximity to Cleveland make it a popular choice with locals and travelers.

Akron-Canton Airport has a wide range of shopping opportunities, restaurants, coffee shops and snack bars both before and after security checks.

Akron-Canton only handles domestic flights within the USA. The airport is a growing hub for domestic travel within Ohio. Cheap flights to Akron-Canton Airport can be booked on AirTran Airways as well as SkyWest, Delta, Atlantic Southeast Airlines as well as US Airways Express.

This ever-growing airport is fast becoming the most popular airport in Ohio and, because of its friendly staff, smooth and efficient security procedures and clean premises, it has a far better reputation than that of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, which is a mere 40 miles to the north, but includes far more hassle with its reputation for large crowds and long lines.
