The crew was extremely helpful in finding my husband another seat, since he was using a cane on this trip and we had purchased exit seats due to him needing the extra leg room to extend his leg. The flight attendant was able to move another passenger so that my husband actual had a row by himself in which he could turn sideways and put his leg up if he needed to extend it. The only complaint would be the self-checking of baggage at McCarran. We and we noticed a couple of other groups, had some difficulty getting the scale to work. A couple service reps had to assist us all. One of the issues was that you had to stand a certain distance from the luggage scale/conveyor in order for it to work properly. Maybe tape outlining the area to stand would help? The other problem was that it scanned our IDs, but kept asking for us to input info; the rep overrode this so that our luggage would process.

When flying to Atlanta from Chicago, most travelers use Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Atlanta and O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago. O’Hare is located just 17 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. One of the world’s busiest airports, ORD has four passenger terminals. Most domestic flights depart from Terminals 1-3, which are interconnected and accessible to each other by a pedestrian tunnel. The last terminal, Terminal 5, handles most of the international flights and is in a separate structure that’s connected to the rest of the airport by airport shuttle buses. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta is the busiest airport in the United States and is located about 17 miles south of downtown Atlanta. ATL has two terminals, the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal, and seven concourses. Domestic arrivals are served by Concourses A-E and Concourse T, while Concourse F is reserved primarily for international flights.
Chicago O’Hare is a hub for United Airlines and American Airlines, while ATL Airport is a hub for Delta Air Lines, so it’s not surprising that these airlines have the most regularly scheduled direct flights between the two airports. Although you can find one-stop flights at prices that are similar to direct flights, adding one stop to your flight will add at least 2h to the total travel time. All ORD-ATL flights with two or more stops are more expensive than the direct flights, and these flights add at least 3h 30min to your travel time.
US domestic flights do not require a passport or visa. However, starting October 21, 2021, passengers will be required to have a REAL ID driver’s license or other acceptable form of identification (such as a passport, military ID, or permanent resident card) to fly; passengers carrying only a regular, non-REAL ID driver’s license will not be allowed past the TSA Security checkpoints. Most REAL ID driver’s licenses have a star at the top of the card. If you’re unsure if your license is a REAL ID, you should check with your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles. Children under 18 years of age are not required to present any identification to clear Security and board the plane.
