Are there currently restrictions on travel to Monaco related to COVID-19?

There are current restrictions for travel to Monaco at this time. These restrictions are for the safety of Monaco citizens and travelers alike and are as follows: France has begun to ease its travel restrictions. As well as travelers arriving from states in the wider European area (EU, UK, Andorra, Vatican City, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland), travelers may now enter France from Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay without any requirement to self-isolate, to demonstrate their travel is essential or to hold an international travel certificate. Foreign travelers who are not nationals of the above countries or arriving from one of the above countries are still restricted from entering France. Exemptions exist for spouses and children of French nationals, long-term residents with French residence permits and their spouses and children, long-term residents of EEA Member States, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the Vatican City and their spouses and children on their way home, and healthcare professionals. Airline crew, personnel of diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations with offices in France and their spouses and children, and merchant seamen may also still enter. Mask wearing is obligatory for all travelers above the age of 11. Travelers arriving from outside of the countries listed above must have an International Travel Certificate to enter and transit France, showing that their travel is of an "essential" nature. This must be obtained prior to departure via the French consular offices abroad or online at https://www.interieur.gouv.fr. Travelers flying to airports in France from such areas will also be required to take a PCR test. They may either provide a negative test result taken less than 72 hours before departure, or will be offered a free RT-PCR test on arrival. Those unable to provide this test result will be subject to 14-day compulsory quarantine/self-isolation on arrival. Travelers who take the test on arrival will await results of the test, with the quarantine requirement being lifted for those whose results are negative. For travelers arriving from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Israel, Turkey, Algeria, India, Madagascar, South Africa, Brazil, Peru, Panama, Serbia and the USA, the RT-PCR test will be obligatory from 25 July for travelers unable to provide a negative test taken less than 72 hours before departure. For travel to French Overseas Territories, travelers need an international travel certificate for entry to French Guiana, Mayotte, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna and French Polynesia. At present, travel to these destinations is only permitted for exceptional family, health or professional reasons. International travel certificates are not required for travel to other French overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, St Barthelemy, St Martin, and St Pierre & Miquelon). There are special regulations for travelers transiting through France to return to their country of residence. Only direct transit to reach your country of residence is permitted. Transiting travelers may not leave the international zone and will not be admitted to France. Luggage must be checked through to the final destination, and travelers will not be permitted to leave the international zone to collect and recheck baggage. The duration of transit must be less than 24 hours.. If you must travel during this time and are allowed to based on current restrictions, please stay informed about updated travel safety tips.
