All US citizens will need a passport to get into Chad. Your passport will need to be valid for at least six months after the date of entry into the country. You will also need at least two blank pages for stamps. In addition to a passport, you’ll need to purchase a visa and it cannot be done on arrival. You will need to pre-purchase it. Note that yellow fever vaccinations are also needed. Chad is also under a level 3 travel warning from the US State Department.
