Offering an eclectic mix of nature, culture, a sense of history and sumptuous cuisine, the town of Lismore attracts visitors of all ages, from families to honeymoon couples and students. Those with a love of nature can enjoy the Wilson River Experience Walk, which begins in the downtown area and winds along almost 2 miles of river. The annual Lismore Lantern Parade sees more than 25 000 people line the streets to see illuminated creatures pass by. This event is held in June on the Saturday which is closest to the winter solstice. Easter festivals are also held in Lismore as are celebrations of the Queen’s birthday in June.
