Royal Air Maroc Check-in
Passengers must check in three hours before departure during off-peak periods; during peak times, check-in is four hours prior to departure. Check-in closes 50 minutes prior to departure, at which time boarding begins. Passengers can check in at the RAM service desk or a self-serve kiosk. On-line check-in is not available.
Flight Status Information:
Flights from New York to Casablanca have a 6 percent on-time rating with an average delay of 29.5 minutes. From Casablanca to New York, the on-time frequency is 77 percent with an average delay of 9.4 minutes. The airline pledges to notify passengers within 30 minutes of becoming aware of any delays, diversions or flight cancellations. Notification will be via gate agents, electronic displays in airport terminals, email, social media, RAM’s telephone reservation system and on www.royalairmaroc.com. If RAM needs to change the scheduled departure time after a ticket has been bought, passengers will be notified of the itinerary change if they provided contact information.
Royal Air Maroc baggage allowance
One piece of carry-on luggage is allowed; laptops are permitted and are not considered hand luggage. Hand luggage must not exceed 22 pounds; the sum of the length, width and height must not exceed 45 inches. Liquids and gels are allowed but cannot exceed 100 ml and must be in a resealable, transparent plastic bag not to exceed 1 liter.
North American passengers traveling economy class can check two pieces of baggage at no charge; business class travelers are allowed three. Bags cannot exceed 50 pounds, 8 ounces in weight; the sum of the length, width and height cannot exceed 79.9 inches. Fees for extra bags depend on the number and size.
If RAM does not deliver baggage on time, RAM puts out a tracer in an international baggage tracking system. Passengers who have lost, delayed or damaged luggage may be eligible for reimbursement; if a bag is lost, RAM will reimburse the passenger if a fee was paid to transport the bag.
Passengers on international flights fly on a Boeing 767. Options include business and economy seating. All seating includes a blanket, pillow, travel kit and a screen for games, videos or DVDs. Business seats are 21-inch-wide leather seats that have a massage function and can be adjusted into a bed position; seats are in a one-two-one configuration. Economy seats are 17.9 inches wide and are in a two-three-two configuration.
Passenger change details
RAM will process eligible ticket refunds within seven business days of receiving a refund request, and supporting documentation, if the fare was paid for with a credit card and within 20 days if it was paid for with cash or a check. RAM will fully refund the purchase price up to 24 hours after making a reservation if the reservation was made seven or more days prior to scheduled departure, and if the reservation was made through RAM’s USA website, telephone reservation office or the New York ticket office.
RAM offers discounted fares for children ages 2 through 12; the discount varies based on destination. The fare for babies under age 2 is 10 percent of the adult ticket price if the infant sits on an adult’s lap; if a separate seat is occupied, the fare is the same as children ages 2 through 12.
RAM will transport dogs, cats and birds in the cabin if they have appropriate health and vaccination documentation, transit permit and a veterinarian passport; if they are in a sturdy carrier not exceeding 21.5-by-15.75-by-7.78 inches; and if the pet weighs less than 11 pounds including the carrier. Passengers traveling with guide dogs must have a medical certificate of disability. Animals transported as cargo are subject to an additional baggage fee; guide dogs transported as cargo are free of charge.
