Are there currently restrictions on travel to Larnaca related to COVID-19?

Yes, there are currently restrictions on flights to Larnaca along with the rest of Cyprus. Before you book or search for flights, consider the following restrictions: Cyprus began to reopen its borders on June 9. Cypriot nationals and residents may still enter the country. They will have to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival. Flights to Cyprus have now resumed. However, the only travelers who will be granted entry will be Cypriot nationals and residents, travelers arriving from Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Vatican City, the UK, or Uruguay, and travelers with special permission from the government of Cyprus. Travelers who have been in countries other than the above-listed destinations within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter Cyprus, even via a third country (eg: Greece), until further notice. Travelers arriving from the above-named list of countries will need a medical certificate stating a negative COVID-19 test result issued within 72 hours of their arrival. Nationals and residents of Cyprus will also be tested for Coronavirus upon arrival. Cyprus nationals and residents who are not arriving from the countries named above will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon their arrival. The administration in the north of Cyprus is now also allowing entry to ‘citizens’ and foreign nationals who hold residency, work or student permits. Travelers in one of these categories who arrive before July 1 will have to go into 14 days quarantine in facilities controlled by the administration, the cost of which is payable by the individual concerned. From July 1, travelers may enter by presenting a negative PCR test result (taken in the previous 72 hours), but will have to go into quarantine for 14 days in facilities controlled by the administration, at their own cost.. Through the gate, you’ll see the Ottoman inscription that dates the ancient monument. The most prominent Muslim shrine on the island, the Hala Sultan Trekke dates back from the first Arab raids on Cyrpus in AD 647-649, and showcases Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic influences. Church of St. Lazarus: For religious enthusiasts booking flights to Larnaca, the church of St. Lazarus is a must-see. Relics of the patron saint are protected in the 9th century building, constructed by Emperor Leo VI. Restored in the 17th century, it now displays baroque wood carving, a white painted belfry, and four domes over the nave.
