It will take about 20 minutes to reach Thamel and cost about $6.50. You can also opt to take a public bus from just outside the airport bound for Ratnapark. It will stop short of Thamel and you’ll have to walk about 10 minutes after getting off the bus, though the entire journey will cost under $1.
