There are currently restrictions on flights to Kaunas along with the rest of Lithuania. Before you book or search for flights, consider the following restrictions: Entry restrictions
Lithuania has begun to ease its travel restrictions. Although flights from outside of the European Economic Area are still suspended for everyone except for Lithuanian nationals and residents, citizens and residents of countries in the European Economic Area, Switzerland.
Residents of Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Thailand and Uruguay are also allowed to enter Lithuania.
Travelers must arrive at Vilnius (VNO), Kaunas (KUN), Palanga (PLQ) or Siauliai (SQQ).
Travelers must complete a questionnaire and present the confirmation of the completed electronic form (QR code) to the carrier when boarding the vehicle.
Frontier workers and those crossing the border between the Republic of Lithuania and another European Union country every day or every working day (those travelling for work-related purpose, pupils, students and trainees) must complete a questionnaire once a month.
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result issued within 48 hours prior to arrival or in Lithuania (registration for a test within 24 hours from arrival, travelers by air or sea will be registered by the NPHC staff at an airport or seaport concerned.)
Travelers are subject to a 10-day mandatory self-isolation (regardless of the result of the test).
There is a possibility of shortening the self-isolation time by taking a COVID-19 test, at personal expense, on the 7th day of the self-isolation at the earliest, with a negative result thereof, they must submit the results to the NVSC and await their permission to leave isolation before the end of the 10 day period.
However, regardless of the shortened self-isolation time, it will be required for 14 days of arrival to restrict the number of contacts, and in the case of those working, it will be required to commute only between work and home and wear a face mask and keep safe distance and follow other general instructions for the prevention of the coronavirus in their interactions with others.
Milder self-isolation requirements will apply for travelers arriving from the US and Gibraltar, and stricter requirements will apply for those arriving from Albania, Bahrain, Seychelles and Slovakia. Check here for more information.
Isolation and testing requirements will not be applicable in the case of those traveling by air when not leaving the airport transit area.
