  • Commoners aren’t the only folks booking flights to the Cotswolds: A slew of internationally renowned celebrities have set up shop in the English countryside, including actresses Kate Winslet, Elizabeth Hurley and fashion designer Stella McCartney. Prince Charles also has a home Highgrove, and Winston Churchill was laid to rest a few miles away from Blenheim Palace in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, which is where he was raised.

Hiking fanatics should head to the Cotswolds for the famous Cotswold Way Walk, which stretches from Chipping Camden to the City of Bath. Cotswolds Airports

There’s no direct flight to the Cotswolds, but this stretch of quaint countryside is quite easily accessible by way of car or bus from a number of airports in England.

Bristol International Airport (BRS): Cheap flights to the Cotswolds tend to touch down at Bristol International Airport, because the airport is about 50 miles from the Cotswolds and a brief car or bus ride away.

London Heathrow Airport (LHR): The airport is located miles from central London, and is roughly 100 miles from the Cotswolds if traveling by car.

Birmingham International Airport (BHX): The airport is located 40 miles from the Cotswolds.
