|Sep 2023The upsales at car collection are outrageous. Continual offerings of dubious “benefits” all at inflated prices. Like $10 a gallon for fuel for a top up at drop off. Like insurance add ons that nearly double your quoted rental rate. Like a toll transponder for $13 a day which are almost free to buy. Like “other driver” add on fee. How many people are going to be driving the car at a time? The list is endless. I felt thoroughly ripped off leaving your premises.

|Jul 2023I didn’t have any balance and had already paid taxes. The guy told me I owed taxes, didn’t give an explanation and when I showed him the email from Kayak showing I owed nothing and had already paid taxes and fees, he basically shrugged his shoulders and was like well this says you do. He should’ve investigated it or asked someone to help him figure it out. We were at a stand still so i asked to speak to the manager to clarify why I’m paying for it again with a $0 balance. The manager quickly figured out it was because I arrived 1.5 hours earlier than the scheduled time so it was the hourly rate plus taxes and fees of that rate.

|Aug 2023The first car given to me had a low tire pressure issue that made me go back and re-pick up a different car. I had to wait quite a while to get the whole process done which I was not too happy about spending too much time for it. Other than that the car drove fine.

|Jul 2023Check in was a little long, but it's vacation season. Rented the car because our flight was canceled. Car was a little beat up but it got the job done. Cruise control was not working properly. Received the car with a lot of scuff marks on it. But it got me home which was the MAIN thing. Turned the car in at Rock Hill, SC location which was great.

|Dec 2025This experience was great. Seamless, good value, easy drop off (in NYC!) and pickup (though Dulles location a bit confusing for a passenger drop off not arriving via flight). Clean car, very fair pre-paid gas price. Overall excellent experience!

|Apr 2025A bait-and-switch was executed. The counter offered a fully electric car for our long distance, one-way trip. Uncomfortable finding charging stations, learning battery monitoring and battling jet lag, plus driving thru long rural stretches made this an impossiblity. No alternative was offered for the booking; instead we took a traditional booking, without offer of car class etc, for about double the price. Feeling weary and uninterested in shopping around, we reluctantly accepted. In hindsight we should've stepped out of line and shopped around, returning to the airport to use a different company if needed. We ended up in a larger car than we'd have chosen (more expensive fillups), one that was racked with hail damage, worn interior, no navigation (missing chip), and to top it all, needed an alignment so badly that the seats shook like 2 cheap massage chairs every time we got over 50mph. One stop at a tiny Budget outpost with no vehicles + 3 calls to roadside assistance offered nothing except detours so we powered thru. Not using Budget, or its partner Avis, again.

|Sep 2023Did not pickup the car and cancelled the reservation. Our flight was delayed (as were many) so when we arrived at 1am there were two employees working and a line out the door. We were exhausted and decided to not wait and get the car.
