We arrived at GSO exhausted, after a very rough day of travel mishaps. The gent at the counter was super fast, courteous and kind. He even gave us an upgrade without us having to ask. Incredible experience!

I needed the rental due to a family member's funeral in Maryland so it was last minute it was suggested that i make the reservation ASAP but the funeral was delayed a day so when I needed to modify the reservation at the time of pick up the up-charge for the additional day was significant close to $25.00 over the daily rate for the other days and they were going to charge me double for all the airport taxes for the additional day. After some serious discussion I was able to get the taxes reduced to the same rate each day for the entire trip but that took a significant amount of time and I could have been on my way much sooner. Customer service could have been better!

They did not honor my reservation and had no cars available

The people were awesome and the car did a great job. The only problem was how the rental returns were parked in front of the available cars so I wasn’t able to get my rental as quickly as I paid for. It cut into at least an hour of my time.

Could not even rent a car because apparently nobody accepts chime. Went from different location to different location and kept gettting the run around from everyone

Only one person working the desk for THREE separate companies. It was a long wait. My suggestion , hire more help for your company , Dollar.

The vehicle was dirty and only 1 choice to get.

When I got to the rental counter, I was told that there were no cars available. When I said that I had a reservation, it didn't matter because they had no cars available. What could have been better is if I knew there would be no cars available at the time I made the reservation.

My reservation was canceled leaving stranded and scrambling to search for another rental.

Great experience during pickup and return. No problems with car, although outside was somewhat dirty. Didn't affect anything, though.

Misleading information given. Pick up not at airport. Counter person was very nice and helpful but end up paying twice as much. Car had a damaged bumper but there was no walk around of the car with me

Please note this site is not at nor near the airports. If your flight in arrives before 8 am or after 5 pm choose an alternate location. Car selection is poor, and many who came in - with reservations- were told they did not have a care available. Drop off- no box- and they tell you they are not liable for anything that happens to the car if you don't personally drop it off. Poor service hours for travelers.

Very smooth transaction overall

We reserved a truck two weeks ahead of time to help my mother move. Hertz features trucks on its website, complete with pricing. We got a confirmation email with a confirmation number. A couple of days before the rental we got another email, confirming the reservation and reminding us to pick up the truck. We got to the rental office at the appointed time and was told "We have no trucks." I showed them the reservation confirmation and the associate and another she called over both insisted they had no trucks. The pad on the counter that showed various vehicles available even featured trucks. They shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. another associate, overhearing the conversation, came over and said "Let me see what I can do." He began calling other hertz locations in the area and finally found one 30 miles away that had just had a truck returned. He asked them to hold it for us and we drove the extra 30 miles to pick it up.
