Find SUV rentals in Detroit

The line to pickup a car took over one hour. The staff were rude and dismissive to those in line, as well as to questions from guests. Not a great experience in any way.

Always way too long of a wait, last three rentals were with dollar at different airports and always the same long wait! It’s official we are done renting from dollar, will pay more to have better service.

The agent in Detroit was as good as I have ever had. Friendly, efficient, accommodating.

When I got there, there was line and no one behind the counter. That was because there was only one person working and she had to go out to have the vehicle for each customer brought up to be cleaned and handed over. My rental was for 3pm, I didn't get out of there until 4pm. She was nice an courteous. The vehicle was great. But in a day that had already gone wrong, that extra delay was not helpful!

Getting car took an hour, car smelled like smoke.

Representative chose a different vehicle (GMC) for us when a RAV4 was reserved and available. In her defense, there was minor damage to the back bumper of the RAV4, so she thought we wouldn’t want it. We would rather have been asked instead of the assumption. When asked about the RAV4, she quickly and politely switched us to that vehicle. Minor inconvenience.

Not great, took over two hour to get checked in and to get the car picked up. Equipment not working properly and they didn’t have enough staff working to handle the number of people needing assistance.

No one checked me out at the end, didn’t like that

Terrible. Me quisieron hacer un cargo de 200 dolares extras los cuales en ningún momento se mencionaron. Con lo cual no pude realizar la renta pues se excedía el límite de mi tarjeta de crédito. La persona que me atendió no supo ayudarme. Y no ofreció ninguna solución.

No complaints at all they were friendly and the suv I had was a brand new Ford expedition limited and when I choose a vehicle on kayak I just choose full size suv and that’s what I ended up with.

Returned the Car Early and they charged me for the full number of days.

Easy pick up at airport and rental process took less than 10 minutes. Everyone we met along the way was very nice. Car was excellent and very clean. Highly recommend.

Lots of hidden fees that were not what I agreed to when I made the original reservation.

Timing was right

Van was brought up, left for 6 miles, then low tire light came on, went back, swapped stuff to another van. Sienna was learning curve. Had an emergency, at home. returned car to DTW lot used 6 of the 9 days. Got no receipt from accepting agent. Got home to my wife in hospital and found a receipt from Thrifty charging $198 for AP conc fee which I told them was already in the previous contract. Called 3 times, Thrifty refused to reverse. Even when i said they had 3 days rental revenue to use the van. Didn't want credit for the days, just not to pay twice for airport fee.

The staff there was nice and very easy to work with.

Nothing! Had a reservation along with maybe 15 people n front of me and they claimed they had no cars….never use them again.

The zombie employees were so slow I almost wanted to take their pulse to see if they were alive. No customer service Fire the entire staff and start over. I would have preferred robots

The Rav4 was having computer issues and kept hanging up on people that I called and not being able to use the navigation. Was very scary considering how much we rely on computer systems in our cars now and was driving during a snow storm.
