Cheap Business Class Flights to Newark Airport

No food for a 5-6 hour flight unless you pay extra, and then it's minimal. Also no in-flight "entertainment" (ie videos or music).This is the new norm but it sucks. Not just Alaska Airlines; I like Alaska Airlines. The whole airline industry is trying to extract as much/deliver as little as possible. Why was it possible 20 years ago to check a bag and have a meal on a long flight? I will obviously keep flying since I have no choice if I need to be somewhere, but how the travel industry (not just the travel industry--also, health care and more) operates these days makes me question humanity. Does everything boil down to money, and the ones in charge getting every penny they can possibly get?

Over head compartment seemed a little small but wasn’t overloaded. The Airbus plane had 2 seats on one side and 3 on the other. My wife especially liked the fact we only had 2 seats on our side of the plane. I like being at the window she likes being on the aisle not middle seat. She appreciated have her own video screen with lots of movies available on the back of the seat in front of us. She also appreciated that the flight was on time. The crew was great.

Flight boarded and left on time and arrived on time. Food was OK - nothing exceptional here. Just a loooong cramped flight

Upgrade options should have been available, along with more communication around the delays.
