Virgin Atlantic has a new in-flight safety video — an animated short that has worked every part of the safety spiel into various film genres.

It seems like airlines around the world are competing for bragging rights when it comes to creating the best, most entertaining in-flight safety video. Delta Air Lines, for example, recently made headlines with its nostalgic, ’80s-themed video, complete with scrunchies, big hair and even a cameo by “Alf.” Meanwhile, Air New Zealand decided to grab its passengers’ attention by featuring swimsuit models like Christie Brinkley in a sun-swept safety video set on the beach.

Now, Virgin Atlantic is throwing its hat into the ring with a new in-flight safety “film,” an animated short that has worked every part of the safety spiel into one film genre or another. A high-speed cops and robbers chase illustrates how to use your oxygen mask, while an oversized crab monster plucked right from an old science fiction movie shows the importance of knowing what to do in the event of a water landing. Film noir, westerns and even James Bond get nods during the short, too.
