As the epicenter to Edmonton’s nightlife, Whyte Avenue is home to the best bars, restaurants, coffeehouses and nightclubs in the city, and the highest concentration of these after-hours establishments is on the avenue between 99 Street and 109 Street. Whyte Avenue is also where visitors can experience Edmonton’s thriving theater district and celebrated independent movie houses, the Garneau Theater and the Princess Theater. 
  • The Edmonton Fringe Festival, which is the largest of its kind in North America, has theater buffs and Broadway babies booking flights to Edmonton each August. Taking place in Old Strathcona, the festival showcases the dramatic talents of performers from around the world. -Looking for something to watch while you pack for your Edmonton flight?   • There are some wacky, unusual attractions just a short distance from downtown Edmonton.
