When we boarded our flight we were not given a pink tag even though we were informed before boarding we could receive one. We got to our seats and there was no overhead space then had to leave the plane remove our luggage and get back on with such tight space. Flight attendants had no control over it but the employee at the gate should have pink tagged from the beginning to eliminate the headache.
