|Mar 2023They refused to accept my payment using Affirm. They stated I needed the credit card I used to rent the car with. I used Affirm. So they refunded (I've yet to receive that) my payment, canceled the reservation, and made me rebook the car using a credit card I had with me. The people working the counter did nothing to help me and made me call the 1-800 line multiple times to fix this. How is this my fault? I spent 2 hours at the airport trying to get a car. I was just charged by Affirm today because they've never received a refund. Someone needs to fix this situation. If Affirm is not an option, they shouldn't offer it.

|Mar 2023I reserved on Friday for same day pick up went to pick it up and couldn’t do same day pickup. Dropped it off on time and nobody was there to check me in no manager . Called all day to get the extra $200 hold taken off my credit card and can’t get a hold of nobody.

|Jul 2024Thrifty sent a text 30 min ahead offering me to skip the counter by choosing my car. I got “car unavailable - refresh in 15 min”. I did. No car. Again. No car. Went to the place anyway, it got worse. Person at counter said “We don’t have any cars for one-way. I’ll have to call a manager for approval and I’ll call you when we have one. At least 30 minutes.” I never got a call. Never got a car. Since I used Expedia, she said she couldn’t cancel. Since it was after the reservation time, Expedia said (on an app) canceling was not available and no refund.

|Aug 2023They did not have a car available when I got there. I had gotten dropped off & had to WALK once turned away. Plus the lady would not speak loud enough for me to hear what she was saying thru the mask. Why have ppl book when you don’t have cars to rent?

|Aug 2023Couldn’t have been worse. Vehicle wasn’t available until 8PM, despite being confirmed for 9AM. Rep at counter was very rude and unhelpful/unapologetic. Thrifty sucks, don’t use them. Stick with a real rental company, enterprise, hertz, Avis.

|Feb 2023I bought from Thrifty on Kayak My "receipt" was from RentalCars.com. It wasn't really a receipt. I had to call Thrifty to make sure they had my car. Also - RentalCars.com has a zero refund policy. Not great customer service. I spent 3-4 hours of my time trying to figure out if I even had a car.

|Apr 2026The pickup was convenient and quick. The vehicle was as promised. The rental agent was professional and polite. She was knowledgeable and explained the rental procedure to me. The return was easy and simple to drop off. There were no hidden charges which is always a plus.
