Wonderful|Feb 2023Joseph was great at checkout. Deja was superior at check in. Even more so when she called me later to remind me of all the things I forgot, namely my entire golf bag! Baronne NO is FIRE! Please stay away from other rental trappings! These folks take care of you!

I believed this location was at MSY, but it was not. I had to take a 25 minute Uber ride to the actual location. I will need to be more careful on selecting next time. I was sure that I selected MSY. :(

Poor|Feb 2023When I arrived at the pickup counter at the off-airport site, and declined the Budget insurance, the staff told me I had to show my proof of insurance (i.e., my insurance card or a copy of my personal car insurance policy). I don't travel with those documents. I have rented a car hundreds of times in my life, I ALWAYS decline rental agency insurance because my policy covers rental cars, and I have NEVER been asked to show proof of insurance. I was not advised beforehand of this requirement. The agent at the rental counter was EXTREMELY unhelpful in having me problem solve this issue.

Wonderful|Nov 2022I have never had such a quick and easy pick up/drop off. The staff was courteous, the car was ready and waiting. It was fast and easy. Dropping off was the same. Super easy and they processed the deposit credit very fast. Very happy with this experience!

Poor|Oct 2022Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful at both locations for my one-way rental. At the pickup, they had overbooked, and I had to wait over an hour for a car to come in (some people with reservations were turned away). I was also told I had to buy their insurance to take the car, and had to work very hard to get that charge removed.

Poor|Sep 2022The Budget online system directed us to a location that had zero cars. We had to go with all of our luggage to second location. Our order confirmed by credit card was for a convertible Mustang or similar. The second location doesn't have any convertible cars at all. Because of Budget we wasted 3 hours. They offered us only one uncomfortable car, which was not even washed. I expect a refund. I paid for something completely different, plus Budget caused a long delay in my journey, which impacted the day.

Poor|Oct 2021Was unable to pick up car due to late flight arrival althoughI was told in advance that it would not be a problem. I had to make other transportation plans, including a $70 Uber ride. Was still charged for car and I never had the chance to pick it up.

Wonderful|May 2021Teka was very friendly and helpful. This car rental company is off-site from the rental center to provide lower rates, so the facilities are sparse. The car was great and clean and it was an excellent experience.
We had difficulty reaching the main number but were finally picked-up at the bus stop at the car rental center. The vehicle was great except for the dirty inside of the windshield.

The drop-off was on a Sunday, and handled by someone who was not an actual employee of the company. It was NOT a good experience!

Okay|Apr 2021Just a heads up. This rental company IS NOT LOCATED AT THE CAR RENTA CENTER. You have to take one shuttle from the airport to the car the car rental center and the call them for them to come pick you up there to take you to their place. I specifically chose companies at the terminal to avoid this, but still got this as a choice only to be surprised once I got to the rental center that it was not there

Okay|Mar 2023On the whole, our experience was positive. I was disappointed however that we were told the vehicle we'd be renting had 7/8 of a full tank and that we should be returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. Filling a tank to 7/8 can of course be problematic and not as straight forward as filling a full tank. When we took off with the vehicle we noticed that it wasn't 7/8 full but rather 1/8 full and the gas light came on about 30 min after having left the rental location. We captured this information and tried to contact the rental location to explain the situation, but nobody was available to take our call. Needless to say we returned the vehicle with 7/8 of a full tank and asked the second location if we could be reimbursed the cost of the difference between 1/8 and 7/8 of a full tank. We were told that unfortunately there was nothing they could do but to contact customer service. When I contacted customer service and explained the situation I was reimbursed $50.00 for our troubles. So all-in-all a good experience, but could have been better. Would know better for next time and would still rent with AVIS.

Poor|Jul 2022Car was not ready at pickup , we had no option but to take a car that was in my opinion not comparable to a ford edge. But as avis was closing in the next hour we were forced to take a car less than expected. The car had several issues. One of the tires half-flattened daily and all tires were worn out, hardly any profile. Also issues with the door locks. First time in my life a very bad experience with Avis. Tried to change the car but for these kind of issues Avis cannot be reached.

Poor|Jul 2022Our reservation was for 10a and we were not in a car until 11a because there was no car ready for us. The desk person really didn't know how to creatively problem solve and had to wait for a manager who then had to call another location to bring a car - that could have been done at the time the desk person knew there wasn't a car for us to pick up. We were an hour late into getting started and then as a result got caught in a storm that had we left on time we would have avoided. Overall very poor - what is the point of a reservation and appointment if you have no car to rent? If we needed to go to another location you just simply should have told us that and saved us an hour of our life.

Poor|Feb 2023Horrible! Economy Rent A Car left me stranded at the airport. Never showed up to pick me up. I called and followed their instructions to the letter. Phone never picked up. I left a message informing I had arrived & was waiting… for over 2 hours. Ended up renting directly with Budget Car Rental. Never Kayak again!!

Mediocre|Nov 2021The staff was very nice and professional. Getting to the location was a bit confusing as they were across the street from where all the other airport rentals were. The car was incredibly dirty and had cosmetic damage at pick-up (despite it being only 2 years old). Had issues with tire pressure on the second day of the rental and I had to refill one of the tires. The windshield wipers desperately needed replacing as well. Very good fuel economy though!

Poor|Jul 2021You should know this site is not at the rental car site near the airport where the other rental car companies are located. There is a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you to that common rental car area. You then have to take a second (NOLA Rental Car) shuttle to their location. Pick up after that was easy, car was clean. HOWEVER, when it came to drop off (ours was at 4am to catch our 5:30 flight)), there was no shuttle back to the airport shuttle, like they told us. The place was locked up, and we waited in the dark at 4am for someone to show up. Ended up having to take an Uber back to the airport, losing valuable time. Will not rent from them again.

Poor|Oct 2022Price was good but not worth all the extra time it took to follow their extensive -- and confusing -- directions to get to the car rental location, involving several van rides, and then do the drop-off. Also, holding my breath that they got the car since we dropped it off at 6 pm at the airport on a Sunday after they had closed earlier that day -- which I hadn't realized. Our instructions, delivered by text, were to park the car at the long-term parking lot and leave the doors unlocked with the parking ticket and keys in the glove compartment! And take photos to show where the car was parked and text them to them.

Poor|Oct 2022Awful, awful company. NEVER, EVER RENT FROM ACE OR NIFTY. The reservation said unlimited miles. After I took a cab to their scary rental location on Poydras, I was informed that unless you have a round trip airline ticket to and from New Orleans, you only get 125 miles and then you are charged per mile. IT DID NOT SAY THIS IN THE RENTAL ADVERTISEMENT. Do not try to save a few dollars by using this cut rate, awful company and stick with the national rental companies.

I had to go with another rental coming after taking a Lyft to pick up rental. Had the same insurance issue with the next rental company. Was able to get rental from other company because the agent was clear in explaining the insurance policy.
