I had an extremely disappointing experience with Batik Air on my recent flight from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru. Despite arriving at the boarding gate 20 minutes before the scheduled departure, I was not allowed to board the flight. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I could still see cabin crew moving in and out of the aircraft, and luggage was still being loaded. I attempted to get the attention of the staff at the gate, but instead of assisting me, one male and one female staff member simply ran off without providing any explanation. The female staff member disappeared, while the male staff member ignored my questions, took a piece of paper, and ran into the cabin. I waited for around 15 minutes before he finally returned, only to inform me that the flight had already departed. I was not the only passenger who was denied boarding despite arriving before departure time. If the flight crew was still able to enter and exit the aircraft, I don’t understand why passengers in a similar situation were not allowed to board. The lack of communication and professionalism from the staff was incredibly disappointing. I hope Batik Air addresses these operational and customer service issues to prevent similar experiences for future passengers.
