Flight back home from Europe was cancelled the very next day after we landed. Zero compensation for these back to back cancellations on the exact same trip. Kayak doesn’t help with flight cancellation before trips says to contact trip protection only for trip protection to say it’s up to kayak. Don’t fly FinnAir. | |

The boarding could have been quicker at Salzburg . On arriving at Frankfurt it would have made more sense to get the passengers transferring to the Heathrow flight off the plane first and have another bus for remaining passengers, that would have given us at least another 10mins to get across the airport. It was very stressful and we were lucky to make the gate. Our family got split up en route with 2 out of 4 of us making it to the gate first and it wasn't clear whether the staff would wait for the other 2. I found this extremely stressful especially as the fault for the delay lies with Lufthansa. Additionally when checking into the flight the day before we were wait listed for the 2nd flight (FRA to LHR) through overbooking which was stressful and we only knew that we had seats shortly before the flight from Salzburg having checked in the day before. Additionally my 15 year old son was place in an emergency exit seat this delayed boarding as we were stopped at the gate in Salzburg for 5 minutes , delaying our already late flight. The ground staff were unable to resolve this as the flight was full and this was resolved once on the plane. The delay at the gate was unnecessary and we really should not have been booked into those seats. Quite a stressful time flying home ! Back |
