Best Time to Fly to San Jose Cabo

When it comes to weather, San Jose Cabo is pretty close to perfect with clear skies and cool breezes almost year round.

Summers (June to August) are warm and can get humid at times, while September is hurricane season when temperatures and humidity are high with cloudy, rainy days every now and then.

High Season

Peak season runs from December until Easter (covering Spring Break weeks in March) and is the perfect time for whale watching.

Low Season

The rainy season from July through October sees a nice drop in price for travelers.

San Jose Cabo Travel Information

The Cabo Wabo Cantina: Much has changed since Sammy Hagar’s first visit to San Jose Cabo in the ‘80s, long before the small town transformed into one of the travel and leisure capitals of Mexico. As one of the many who fell in love with the beaches and beauty of the Baja Peninsula on their first visit, Sammy took his adoration a step further by opening the Cabo Wabo Cantina as a performance space that featured a fully-stocked tequila bar. Today the bar is the focal point of San Jose Cabo nightlife culture, so stocking up your iPod with some Hagar and Van Halen tracks to listen to on your flight to San Jose Cabo may be a great way to get psyched for those inevitable tequila shots. 

After your San Jose Cabo flight, the last thing you’ll want to do is walk for an hour in the hot summer sun in order to find a free spot of sand at the beach. Luckily, you won’t have to lug your beach bag for very long, seeing as some of San Jose Cabo’s most popular beaches are just steps from downtown. Medano Beach is popular with locals and visitors alike, and Lover’s Beach, aptly named for the seclusion it provides, are both excellent spots to sunbathe and sleep off your jetlag. 

If looking for the worm at the bottom of the tequila bottle makes you queasy instead of crazy, San Jose Cabo offers up several tamer alternatives to the beach and the rowdy nightlife scene. San Jose Cabo is home to five public championship golf courses, and be sure to browse through the numerous galleries and art museums downtown even if your flight to San Jose Cabo didn’t happen to land on a rainy day.
