Costa Del Sol Travel Information

• Though your cheap flight to Costa del Sol will undoubtedly land you near some of Spain’s most beautiful beaches, the hidden treasures lie in the stretches of sand that you can only reach by car. Spain’s highway system is easy to navigate and car rental companies have offices in most resort towns, so slather on some sunscreen, grab your shades, and hit the road. Some of Costa del Sol’s most popular beaches, like Almuñecar, Nerja, and Marbella, can be found an hour or two by car from the Granada and Málaga airports.
• Though the endless stretch of beaches is reason enough to stay put in Costa del Sol, travel in Andalucia is easily facilitated by trains and busses. If it’s overcast and you’re interested in trekking a bit more inland, Sevilla, Granada, and Cordoba, three of Andalucia’s most popular tourist destinations, are just a short bus ride away. If you’re feeling even more adventurous and feel like putting your passport to good use, spend the day snapping photos of monkeys in Gibraltar or even venture across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.
• Rent a car or join a tour group for a day trip to Seville. Only a couple hours drive away from the Costa del Sol, the day trip is worth the drive to experience Spanish culture at its best.

Costa Del Sol airports

Malaga Airport(AGP): The airport is located just 5 miles from downtown Málaga.

Granada International Airport (GRX): The airport is just over 10 miles west of Granada and about an hour and a half to two hour drive to Costa del Sol.
