They will also need to provide a copy of their confirmed booking at an ASQ hotel, and either a copy of their work permit (if it is already expired, the employer should contact the Ministry of Labour to issue a WP3), a copy of letter of permission to work in Thailand from a Thai government agency (such as the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Education, BOI) or a copy of the Certificate of Residence. All travelers to Thailand are required to complete 14 days quarantine at a State Quarantine or Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facility. The validity of all temporary visas has been extended until September 26, 2020. . If you are looking to book a trip to Hua Hin and are outside of the restricted areas, please take the proper precautions and stay informed about traveling during COVID-19.

Getting around Hua Hin

Getting from the Airport to the City

There’s a variety of transport options to get to downtown Hua Hin from the airport (HHQ), 15 minutes north of town. Do make a point of bartering the fare if you are using a taxi although meter taxis usually have a fixed rate. It’s good fun bartering especially when you can save a few baht. If you take a songthaew, a red, two bench seated pick up truck or a tuk tuk, make sure to agree a price before you get in.
