My new flight was 8 hours later, how do you manage to lose my bag when you have 8 hours to load it? Moreover, we were all forced to check our carryons. This meant no underwear no socks no nothing for over 20 hours. It really wrecked my trip. There were a lot of screw-ups I think. We were told to collect our bags and recheck them, but got an email that they would be automatically forwarded. TRUST ME, I would rather have the trouble and annoyance of rechecking my bag rather than to have suffered here 20 hours without my stuff, having preplanned events to go to etc. It was really unpleasant.
