|May 2023experience was not good, car safety was expired which we did not notice at pickup. A valet person at our hotel noticed it and refused to park the car. we did not use it after except to drive it back to the airport for drop off.

|Apr 2023They could have cleaned the car, I found papers and spills from the last people who rented the car from the sister company. On pick ups they should have someone there to talk to you about the car and go over all the dents, scratches, maybe been offered an up grade. Services at check in was not very good, all 3 people did different check ins I heard one ask if people wanted to up grade after they heard what they were getting, would have been nice to get.

|Mar 2024Firstly on your website you could state that a 2nd driver is not only $250 but that it is $250 every 28 days and that when picking up the car the person should be told this. We were never told that the $250 was for only 28 days. Our contract was for $3476.90 from Dec 29/2023 to Feb 29/2024 which is 62 days. We have been charged $1852.03 twice (which looking back obviously included the additional driver fees)and there is an amount of $711.04 on my Visa which totals $4,415/10 which is basically $1,000. more than my original rental agreement. When we returned the car we were given a total of $438.03 still due so other than the fact that it is $400 + over the original agreement so why is $711.04 pending on my Visa? You are a company that is fraudulent towards the consumers and I would neither rent from you again nor would I recommend you. We travel a lot including 2 months every year in Hawaii.

|Jul 2023I liked the easy location and the employees were friendly even though their system had gone down they were still trying to work hard and get us our vehicles but it did take longer of that, but nothing they could control.

|Aug 2023Beware. Hertz allows you to rent a car at 12pm but they are closed some days at that time. We got there just before noon and the workers literally walked right past us and refused to assist or even acknowledge our existence. Several other people were there as well. Only one worker stopped to tell us that they’re off at noon and can’t assist.

|Mar 2023The rental was made, unbeknownst to me, and without any indication, at an off-airport Hertz, not the one inside the airport proper, but immediately outside the fence! The representative at the off-airport trailer was helpful and professional, but I had already wasted nearly an hour in line at the on-airport location, before learning I needed to take a cab or ride share to the just-off-post location (where they washed the vehicles for both locales)! Either Hertz, or Kayak, or both, should make it clear that the rental location was indeed (just) off-airport, and indicate how to arrive there. We took a Lyft (for less than a mile).

|Aug 2023I booked a convertible with thrifty and when I went to pick it up they informed me that they could not give me the car as they only accepted credit cards and they had a policy that required me to book the car until the time of my departure flight. I was not informed of these two things upon booking and was told I could use a debit card and there was no mention of the policy whereby the car had to be rented out until the date of departure from the island. The staff were unhelpful and provided no alternative solution.

|Apr 2022Car not well-maintained. Needed a mechanic. I received a new car that had been treated poorly by previous drivers; wear and tear was evident, including an unidentifiable (and somewhat alarming) hard rattle from somewhere near the rear wheels. (Suspension? Axle? Bad shocks?) I only felt comfortable in the car because I was not traveling long distance.

|Mar 2022hour long line on pickup.. only 2 agents working.. called day 10 to extend rental ... they insisted on using the same Visa confirmation number which was used on the original rental. crazy... called our bank/visa... need to apply to same card but new confirmation... bank said "happens all the time with Thrifty".. banks not going to re-open a confirmation... just put through another.. therefore, per Thrifty in India, we had to take a day of vacation, drive to Honolulu airport Thrifty, go through hour long line to "re-do" application to achieve extension... said hell with it.. called enterprise .. unloaded golf clubs, diving equipment etc from car, hauled from parking lot to room. Took car back to Thrifty on last day of contract, turned in, then walked around the airport to Enterprise and rented a substitute car for the rest of the stay.. Still lost a half day messing around with the problem.. plus "the hassle !!!!!" all because Thrifty's software is fouled up... plus the long line cking in, plus car with high mileage, plus passenger seat had "steel" frame which tore into you leg every time getting out of the SUV. Not good... no more Thrifty..

|Aug 2021They have moved their car pick up desk to the area where the cars are actually located -- in the garage. It went very smoothly and the person who checked us in was very nice. There are special steps you have to take to show you are vaccinated- all good.
