I made my reservation same day because of last minute changes in my travel plans. When I arrived at the counter they told me they only had luxury cars available and could not rent to me unless I paid $112 extra per day. They explained that they couldn’t honor same day reservations. … which just left me wondering why they accepted them. I rented from Hertz, it was a great experience and guaranteed that I’ll never rent with Sixt!

We booked the flight and the car rental through Kayak one would think the rental car would be at the airport. Instead we had to Uber from the airport rental place to downtown Dallas. Then we had to pay extra to drop off at airport rental place. Other than that it would have been great. Wasted a lot of time and some money. I guess when you book one would think if I am flying into a place the website would pick the rental place close. I will look up address next time. Who knew!

I was upgraded to a car I didn’t want. Asked for a sedan and wasn’t offered an option without paying extra. Also hated the color and wasn’t offered a choice. There were plenty of others on the lot.

Did not have the type of car I booked (even though I booked WELL in advance). Instead gave me small 2-door, saying that I would have to sit at airport and wait until they had car that I had booked ready. Do employees get incentivized to downgrade customers to smaller/cheaper cars? There was no discount offered even though they could not meet the terms of my booking. They tried to upsell me on insurance when I had already purchased an Allianz policy at booking. Rental was shockingly expensive for 3 days. Blech.

The pick up / drop off team were some of the least friendly, disengaged, wrought with attitude and arrogance in the service sector. Loved the car. Struggled with the people. I won’t be back.

Oil change warning in the car came on, and customer service told me to have the oil changed and be reimbursed. Drop-off agent told me I violated protocol and shouldn’t have changed the oil (and paid for it out of pocket), all while typing and not making eye contact. I was then threatened with the $450 cleaning fee - which I didn’t violate. I’ll never rent from Avis again. Terrible experience.

I rented an S-Class vehicle. It was not available when I arrived at the DFW counter. The rental agent gave me a sub-class car without telling me. It was also filthy. You could hardly see out the windshield. It had 70,000 miles on it, a Buick Encore. The steering was not perfect and after a good rainstorm it had a big scratch on the side. I was disappointed. It felt like a bait and switch. The details of the contract need to be fulfilled accurately, Avis, or it leads to a negative experience. Thank you.

Bad experience. They gave me a car without extra tire( inside) I had a flat tire Road assistant couldn’t help me. I return The car before the due date because I had flat tire and they didn’t refund me anything even though my Uber money back . Very sad

They told me no cars were available at the reserved time. They tried telling me my reservation was for 10:30 when the paperwork clearly showed 9:00am. They made me wait and then began giving cars to other customers until I spoke with three different Hertz employees which took me an hour to get my car.

The manager told me that it would be difficult to find a car for me even though i had a reservation and a confirmation number. “We shouldnt have guaranteed you a car since you are not dropping it off here.” Not sure why he said any of this since i had a confirmation number.

Price was good but everything else was poor. No cars in reservation size or larger were available when arrived. Was told to go to the next level only to find that many of the cars were missing keys. The only car of our reservation size was in poor condition, abandoned vehicle sticker, marks on the outside everywhere, severe oversteering, and gas tank wasn't full.

We had to cancel our reservation and get another car from another agency. We we went to the desk to get our car we were told it was going to be a 2-3hr wait for a car to be available to us. No explanations why other than there were none ready and we had to get in line with everyone else and when one became available then we could have it. There were no notices sent out of info given it was just a show up and wait. I don't mind waiting some times, I get it, but 2-3 hours is a bit much.

Heard to speak to anyone..was on hold for for 45 mins was hung up on 2 times in line for 4 hours to find out no cars where available even thou it was paid for... Making me jump thru hoops to recieve my $ back...bs!😣waisted a whole day dealing with situation. Tottaly lost a day with my daughter on her wedding week.
