Peak Season

Puerto Vallarta's peak season runs during the winter months. December through February months are packed with travelers looking for an escape from the frigid cold Northern air. The weather is beautiful here, but rarely can you find a discount on a Puerto Vallarta flight or hotel.

Off Season

Hurricane season falls from late-September to early-November and while this is also some of the best temperatures, travelers risk being indoors due to a hurricane. Getting Around Puerto Vallarta

You don't need a car in Puerto Vallarta unless you plan to extend your vacation to other areas of Mexico.

Cabs and taxis are easily found through old town and along the resort district. If you're staying at a resort, let your feet do the walking around the area. The beach front resort area is packed with restaurants, bars and shopping all within walking distance from the many resorts.
