SpiceJet Airlines Check-in
The airport’s check-in counters open exactly two hours before each scheduled flight and close 45 minutes before their departure. As such, passengers are asked to arrive between one and two hours before their planes are scheduled to depart. Any person who arrives after the counter closes will be listed as a “no-show” and cannot get a refund.
Flight Status Information:
If you would like to see the available flight schedules for any given moment, you can access the information from SpiceJet’s widget found on the homepage. This handy widget will also allow you to check the status of a flight, book a flight, perform an online check-in and manage your booked flights.
SpiceJet Airlines baggage allowance
For domestic flights, SpiceJet allows you check-in up to 15 kg of free luggage. However, for other bookings, you are allowed 22 to 30 kgs depending on your destination. There are no limits on how many bags you can check-in, but each bag must not exceed 32 kgs and 158 cms.
The airline will not accept responsibility for spoiled perishables or damage to fragile luggage or other baggage that has been improperly packed. It will also not accept responsibility for minor damage to luggage that results in dents, scratches, stains, soiling or water damage.
You may carry one bag on board with you. This bag cannot be larger than 7 kgs and 108 to 115 cms depending on your flight. If you have an infant, you can carry one additional bag on board; however, it must adhere to the same size restrictions. No carry-on bags are allowed on flights that originate in the Srinagar or Jammu airports.
If you wish, you can select a seat prior to your flight, but you will need to pay an additional fee at the time that you purchase your ticket. You can do this online, at one of the airport ticket counters or by calling the call center. If you do not pre-select a seat, you will be assigned a seat when you check-in.
If SpiceJet needs to change your assigned seat for any reason, your seat fee will be refunded. If you wish, you can also choose a SpiceMax premium seat, which has extra legroom, priority check-in, priority baggage delivery and cabin bag allowance. You must be between 15 and 65 and travelling without an infant to request a premium seat.
Passenger change details
There are four ways you can purchase airline tickets for a flight on SpiceJet Airlines: directly on their website, calling their Guest Sales and Reservation Center, through a travel agent or at a SpiceJet’s ticket counter. When purchasing tickets online or over the phone, you will need to pay with a major credit card.
If you need to change the date or time of your flight, you must do so at least one hour before your scheduled departure. There will be a flight change fee, and you will be responsible for any additional fares that may be due. You can make these changes online, at a SpiceJet Sales Center or by calling the Guest Sales and Reservation Center.
Children aged one week to two years can ride on their parent/guardian’s ticket. However, they will not be provided with an extra seat.
If you are traveling with pets, your pets must be checked in as baggage. However, there is an exception for guide dogs, which can travel on board so long as properly trained, on a leash and muzzled.

Use of Cellphones:
As of June 2014, SpiceJet will now allow passengers to use their cellphones and personal electronic devices while in flight. However, the devices must be turned off right before the plane takes off and lands, and they must have a flight or airplane mode. Airline staff will alert passengers as to when they can turn their phones and PEDs back on.
SpiceJet is proud to say that they are the first airline in India to allow the use of certain cellphones and PEDs while in flight. In this way, passengers can now use these devices to watch movies, listen to music, play games, send emails or take pictures while in the air.
