Airport Overview

Nantes Atlantique Airport is the largest airport in the west of France and serves around two million passengers per year.

Comprising a modern L-shaped building, Nantes Atlantique has four halls, with baggage claims and check-in facilities on the ground floor and departure lounges on the upper floor. Halls 1-3 form a line and are connected to Hall 4 via a lobby; glass walls give the airport a spacious, airy atmosphere. The staff is known to be generally friendly and helpful and queues flow easily, but be advised that there isn’t much to entertain yourself with once you pass through security.

Terminal Transfer

Nantes Atlantique comprises one terminal building, the gates and halls of which are in close proximity to each other.

Getting into Town

Bus: The Tan Air Shuttle runs between Nantes Atlantique and the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is around 20 minutes and tickets can be purchased on board for €7. There’s also a public bus (No. 37) that stops just outside the terminal. It travels to line 3 of the tram system, from which the tram departs for Place du Commerce in the centre of Nantes City.

Taxi: Taxis are located on the esplanade opposite Hall 1. If you arrive in Hall 4, there is a taxi stand that allows you to call for a taxi to collect you. Fare ranges between €25 and €30.
