The boarding procedure was chaotic from ICN to CRK on JinAir. With no announcement, all of a sudden, a service team member started scanning the gate waiting area for carry-on luggage. She then randomly asked passengers to come up to the service desk with their carry-on and began to check-in the luggage without notifying them. That made the passengers utterly confused and some declined the check-in. I was not one of the chosen ones to check-in my carry-on. However, my Mother has wheelchair service and as we were getting our boarding passes scanned and as I followed behind, only then did the wheelchair service assistant mention to me that my carry-on was oversized and that I needed to check it in! My carry-on was the size of a small duffle bag equipped with wheels. She looked twice at it, then decided for me to go ahead and board the aircraft and check if my luggage will fit in the overhead bins. If not, it will need to get checked in. Thankfully, it fit! I noticed someone else had placed an even larger sized luggage in the overhead bin and that fit perfectly as well. Also, the sandwich served during the flight was spicy. My Mother could not eat it and there was no alternative snack available so my Mother felt hungry the rest of the 3.5 hr flight.
