After pressing for sometime I seat number and boarding pass was produced - I know not how but no choice of seat. I failed to mention on the Manchester leg. That online check-in was not working and so it wasn't until I got to Man airport that i learned of the problems and flight uncertainties. In 40+ years of flying this was my worst experience with a major European airline
