When is the best time to fly to Nadi?
Nadi (pronounced Nan dee) is situated on the western side of the main Fijian island of Viti Levu. Nadi is one of the more densely populated regions of Fiji, it has highlands, hot springs, sand dunes and excellent diving locations with plenty of hotels. Flights to Nadi are popular with tourists and pilgrims alike, as it is where the main airport and one of the largest Hindu temples in the southern hemisphere are located.
July and August mark the high season. The school holidays period (Christmas, Easter etc.) are also busy times, as those working overseas return home to visit family and friends. On the western side of Viti Levu is Nadi. Once a small farming community, it’s grown in recent years becoming Fiji’s third largest city.
