• Wander among the alleyways and flower-filled balconies in Taormina, where every so often you will catch sight of Mount Etna or the sea below.
• As Taormina is Sicily’s most beautiful town, it gets very crowded in high season.  If the prices seem too steep think about staying in nearby Giardini-Naxos and taking the bus every day.
• Visit the remains of Teatro Greco up above the town.  This Greek/Roman ruin is easy to find, and afterwards stop at a café in Piazza IX Aprile or the main street Corso Umbierto 1.
