• In late August-early September, the wine festival is held in the municipal gardens.  Limassol is the center of the wine making industry and for these 12 days each year Cyprus wines are offered free in the evening from 6-10pm.
• Visit the castle where Richard the Lionheart is said to have got married. You can see suits of armour, pottery and even tombstones, and go down into the dungeons to find artifacts from Byzantine churches.
• As there is no beach in the town you can do other activities such as playing golf on the nine-hole course, riding a horse, sailing or hiring a bicycle or play tennis.
