Interlaken Travel Information

• Take a winter hike along frozen rivers and through the forest of Kleine Rugen. Or challenge yourself with your skiing. Follow the tracks of the famous Lauberhorn downhill ski run, or ski the legendary Schilthorn area, the highest in the Bernese Oberland
• Watch a play in the woods.  William Tell, the play by Schiller, is performed in the open air in the Ruge Forest every summer. Wooden houses frame the stage and the 250 strong cast are assisted by a good selection of horses, cattle and farm animals who make an appearance. It is performed in German but you can work out what is happening, and the animals need no translation.
• Take the funicular railway from Interlaken Ost station up to see the view at Harderkuhm.  On Fridays there is folk dancing, music and late trains laid on specially.
