Airline tickets and cheap flights price comparison

Stepping out from the shadows of older and wiser London is Brighton, the artistic England city that is coming into its own with the addition of retro boutiques, contemporary bars, five-star restaurants, art galleries and more. Brighton was made famous in the 18th century when King George IV chose it as his vacation destination. Soon, word caught on that Brighton was the up-and-coming location in England and centuries later, Brighton still remains a hot-spot for arts and culture. The blend of Victorian architecture and couture shops offers Brighton tourists the quintessential blend of old England and modern-day living.

There are no direct flights to Brighton, but add a day on to your vacation in London and take a quick train ride to England's seaside city. Located approximately one-hour by train from London, traveling to Brighton is a breeze and worth the extra day in England.

Brighton Insider Information

  • Brighton Pavilion was the Prince Regent’s idea of a good place to host a party.  Its interesting towers dominate the town, and when you do the tour you find that it is just as gloriously lavish and over the top on the inside, too.
  • Shop in the Lanes for all kinds of unusual and artistic things.  All the chain stores are here, but there are many independent and unusual shops as well. This is a lively place with an active artistic and social life, and the largest gay club scene in England.
  • Buy some Brighton Rock from the Palace Pier.  Then walk along the beach and throw pebbles into the sea.  There’s no sand and they land with a satisfying splosh.
