Cancun Cheap Flights

Teeny-weeny bikinis and buff beach boys fill the beaches of Cancun. Flights to Cancun are packed with Spring Break travelers ready to ditch their books for a day on the white sand beaches and a dip in the blue waters. The night scene in Cancun is so exciting, it’s barely talked about the next day. Cancun is the reason people book flights to Mexico; just ask the three million people who visit here annually.

Cancun is so welcoming, even the apprehensive traveler will fly to Cancun for vacation. English is spoken, U.S. dollars are accepted, malls are filled with dozens of duty-free shops, there are more than 350 restaurants and nightclubs, and it’s one of the easiest cities to get around. For the more tame traveler, downtown Cancun is the more “cultural region” of the city. There are Cuban-style restaurants and more locals hang out in this area (mainly because the Hotel Zone is pricey).

From snorkeling to jet-skiing, visiting ancient Maya ruins, or just lounging poolside at one the five-star beach resorts after a wild night in “the Zone,” this Mexico city has something for everyone. Travelers to Cancun will leave the city wanting more.

These hotels are centrally located to all of Cancun’s must-see attractions including bus stops to points outside of Cancun. You can rent a car in Cancun, but if you don’t feel like navigating unknown streets it’s possible to get around by taxi. Taxis can be rented for $20 per hour for travel around the city and hotel zone.

Bus travel is popular within Cancun. Ruta 1 and 2 city buses travel frequently from the mainland to the beaches along Avenida Tulum (the main street) and all the way to Punta Nizuc at the far end of the hotel zone on Isla Cancun. Ruta 8 buses go to Puerto Juarez/Punta Sam for ferries to Isla Mujeres. They stop on the east side of Avenida Tulum. City buses operate between 6am and 10pm daily. Beware of private buses along the same route; they charge more than the public ones - about 6 pesos (60¢).
