Delta Air Lines will continue to operate out of its hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG).
The carrier has confirmed that it intends to keep the airport as its hub in the region, despite changes to schedule.
Richard Anderson, Chief Executive of Delta, wrote a letter to the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce to outline the carrier’s commitment to the city, reports local network WCPO.
Ellen Van der Horst, President of the organisation, told the network: “I received a letter today from Mr Anderson affirming their support for this community and recognizing the importance of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to Delta and and the importance of our hub to Delta.”
“I think it’s encouraging, but of course I think there’s a lot more to this story still to be told,” she added.
According to the latest Department of Transportation figures, 65.7 percent of flights arrived on time at CVG in December.
