Hopping a Newark flight anytime soon? If you're in Newark Liberty International airport on Thursday pay close attention to the security lines: the Transportation Security Administration will unveil newer, more advanced technology X-ray machines that gives security screeners clearer peek inside your bag.

The new TSA machines replace the existing X-ray screeners that date back to the 1980s. The machines are said to provide a 3-dimensional look inside carry-on luggage and reduce teh number of manual bag checks that currently take place.

Word to the wise: Don't try stuffing your carry-on with contraband items. Stick to the rules and if you're unclear, visit the TSA's 3-1-1 Rule Web page.
