In the wake of the swine flu scare earlier this year, the nation’s biggest airport is administering flu shots. AeroClinic, the health clinic at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport gave more than 10,000 flu shots last year, and expects to give even more this year, due to increasing demand.
Although flu season doesn’t officially start until Oct. 1, a spokesperson at the clinic said they would begin administering the shots on Sept. 15 for travelers who want to get a head start on the season. Service will continue until the end of December, and shots will cost $35.
According to the Associated Press, AeroClinic will also get a distribution of the H1N1 flu to issue, to further protect travelers from the recent rise.
