Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest airport of all? In terms of customer service in North America it’s Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport – for the second year running. That’s the assessment of the passengers surveyed by the Airport Council International (ACI), an industry trade group.

Rated the planet’s third-busiest airport, DFW is the prime hub for the world’s largest carrier, American Airlines.

Among the factors ACI considered when rendering its rankings: airport access and connectivity, services and facilities, security, immigration, arrival services, value for the money, overall satisfaction, and the airport environment itself.

DFW’s designation as Best Airport in North America as far as customer service is concerned wasn’t hurt by International Terminal D, terrific retail and dining options, a fascinating arts program, well-versed Airport Ambassador volunteers, and — this flyer’s favorite — Skylink. The fast, automated elevated train system connects the terminals of the sprawling complex and helps make for comparatively painless connections.
