Which American airport is tops in customer service? Passengers polled by the industry trade group Airports Council International (ACI) say it is Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW), American Airlines’ prime hub.

More than 200,000 fliers responded to ACI’s survey, which designated DFW “Best Airport in the Americas” for customer service.

Passengers particularly seem to like DFW’s restaurants, shopping, cleanliness, and overall ambience. Also high on the list of kudos are staff friendliness, and quick airline check-in.

ACI says that more than 90 airports worldwide take part in its survey. Aerodromes use the survey to benchmark best practices in an array of areas.

Dallas/Fort Worth International is located equidistant between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. The airport, which is about the size of Manhattan Island, is the planet’s third busiest, thanks in large part to the presence of American Airlines.

From the Metroplex megaport, some 1,900 flights per day take wing. They’re bound for 134 domestic and 36 international destinations.
