Conde Nast Traveler will reveal its best of the best in the magazine’s November issue, but the results are already in. San Francisco has won the title for Best US City to Visit for the 17th year in a row.

With jaw-dropping hills, peculiar old trolleys, and a funky waterfront area, it’s no surprise that this Northern California gem has taken the lead once again. If you’ve never been, we recommend booking a cheap flight to San Francisco and exploring all that this Pacific city has to offer. From innovative gourmet cuisine to artistic exhibits in music and museums, to a stellar surrounding area of Napa Valley and Berkeley, San Francisco takes the cake for plenty of good reasons.

Close calls were Charleston, South Carolina (#2) and Santa Fe, New Mexico (#3).

The 25,000 voters for the Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards also covered international cities, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and resorts. Here are a few examples of the top tiers:

Best Domestic Airlines:
1. Virgin America
2. JetBlue
3. Midwest

Top Three Cities in Europe:
1. Florence
2. Rome
3. Venice

Top Three US Hotels:
1. 21C Museum Hotel in Louisville, KY
2. Peninsula in Chicago
3. Mandarin Oriental in Boston
