What’s the best airport in the land? According to Condé Nast Traveler it’s Portland International (PDX). The Oregon aerodrome came out on top when an independent firm polled more than 26,500 readers, readers who identified themselves as business travelers.

Rounding out the remaining ten-best airports:

2) Tampa (TPA)
3) Reagan Washington National (DCA)
4) Milwaukee (MKE)
5) Orlando (MCO)

6) Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)
7) Long Beach (LGB)
8) Salt Lake City (SLC)
9) Pittsburgh (PIT)
10) San Diego (SAN)

A Cheapflights’ observation: Of Condé Nast Traveler’s top ten it’s notable that just two of those airports are hubs – Minneapolis/St. Paul and Salt Lake City. Most of the airports are so-called “spoke cities.” Minneapolis/St. Paul is a hub for Northwest Airlines and Salt Lake City is a Delta Air Lines hub. The two carriers merged just this past week.
