The city has transformed into a destination popular with tourists worldwide, for its natural beauty, annual festivals and colorful culture. Positioned inside a beautiful valley, encircled by mountains, Medellin enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year. It has numerous parks, ideal for people watching and relaxing amidst scenic surroundings. The Plaza Botero is a great place to visit, for its 23 amazing life-sized sculptures, all created by Fernando Botero. Art lovers will also enjoy the Museo de Antioquia, which is home to additional works by Botero and other renowned Latin artists. The Parque Explora contains South America’s largest freshwater aquarium. There is an outdoor park here too, with interactive games for children to enjoy and learn about the laws of physics.
