|Jul 2023This was Avis at puerto Vallarta airport. Regular size car. The line was extremely slow and staff moved very slowly. Took an hour to get the car with only 1 person ahead of me. Price was ok but I declined insurance since my credit card and auto insurance policy cover the car. They insisted on putting a $4200 hold on my credit card in case there was any damage- even a scratch. Crazy. Won’t rent there again.

|Mar 2023The service was incredibly slow. Pick up took over 30 minutes and drop off was longer. The price was quoted in Canadian dollars but charged in American. Overall, very dissatisfied.

|Mar 2023I opted for the full coverage insurance and was told that the total would be $490. After returning the car, the total was $630. Not only was this place completely dishonest, they couldn't have been in any less of a hurry. Took us over an hour to get checked in and almost an hour to return the car.

|Feb 2024The car was good and check in was nice. But finding the place saw super confusing to find. Google was useless and traffic is horrible around the airport. It took me 45 minuets to find the place and also 45 minuets to find the return for the car. I did almost miss my flight.

|Jan 2024We went there from the airport and found out that they were adding $70. A day to our car rental. So we canceled and took Uber everywhere instead and it was so much cheaper!

|Feb 2023Europe car in Puerto Vallarta is definitely not worth it. I bought insurance together with my rental from kayak but they refused the insurance and wouldn’t let it go without me buying their insurance. I ended up walking over to Avis and renting a car with insurance for less money than just the insurance from Europe car.

|Jan 2023The whole process was a nightmare. It started by telling me the car I had booked wasn’t actually available (but only after I was supposed to pick up) then by prompting me to book a week later than I’d intended (I know, I should have triple checked), and then by saying my credit cards were not working despite the fact they have worked at every other rental provider and we’re not over the limit. Overall brutal experience I will seek to avoid in the future.
