Wizz Air Check-in

Wizz Air has begun implementing online check-in. Check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure. Passengers with service requests or special needs should check in two hours before departure.

Wizz Air baggage allowance

Carry-on: One carry-on piece with the maximum dimensions of 22in x 16in x 8in is allowed. It should not weigh more than 22lbs.

Checked: All passengers are allowed to check up to six bags, each weighing no more than 70lbs and the cost for each varies depending on scheduled flight time and the date of your flight, as well as departure airport and destination.

Excess: Passengers must purchase a separate seat for any fragile item or item that weighs more than 11lbs that cannot be stored in the overhead compartment or stowed under the seat. There is a charge for overweight bags.

Wizz Air legroom

Seat pitch: 28-30 inches.

Pre-arranged seating

There are no assigned seats but families and groups may purchase Wizz Xpress priority boarding to make sure they are seated together. Extra legroom is available for purchase at the time of booking.

Passenger change details

It is possible to make changes to date, time, destination and names online through the change booking menu on Wizz Air’s website up to three hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. There are fees for these changes.

Child fares

Infants under the age of two can travel on an adult’s lap for €25. There are no child fares available.

Senior fares



Wizz Air doesn’t carry animals, with the exception of guide dogs.

Carrying musical instruments

Standard baggage allowances apply. Alternatively, a separate seat may be purchased for the transport of a large or fragile instrument instead of checking it into the aircraft’s baggage hold.

In-flight service

Drinks and snacks may be purchased on the flight.
