• The stars are bright in Barbados, but to see them even more clearly visit Hay Bayley, the island’s only observatory. Situated northwest of Worthing, it is the home of the Barbados Astronomical Society.
• Take a photograph of the extraordinary aerial roots of the mangrove in one of the last mangrove swamps in Barbados. Graeme Hall Swamp is good for bird-spotting, too, and if you go in the early morning or late evening you are more likely to catch sight of the large herons.  Get to the swamp by turning left down a track immediately before arriving at St. Lawrence Gap.
